In Israel we are cooperating with ADI, currently the largest network offering assisted living for people with disabilities.

Negev, Israel
Target group for our project are children and adults with severe disabilities in Israel. ADI is currently the largest network offering assisted living for people with disabilities. In Israel they work in four different locations. A total of 650 children receive permanent care and 18,000 people come as day patients. In the facility at Ofakim, which was opened in 2005, the residents do not only receive help for their everyday lives and chores, but they can also take advantage of a wide variety of educational and therapeutic recreational facilities as well as state-of-the-art medical care. The volunteers will support the existing projects. Possible areas of activities:

  • support of the residents in their daily chores
  • help at mealtimes
  • accompanying the residents on their way to therapy or work
  • support in recreational activities, like outings, etc.

ALEH is currently the largest network of supported housing for people with disabilities and operates in four locations in Israel. There, a total of 650 children receive permanent care and 18,000 people receive outpatient treatment. At the Jerusalem facility, residents receive assistance in coping with everyday life, as well as a wide range of educational and therapeutic recreational facilities and medical care. The volunteers will support the existing branches of work as additional helpers. This may include the following activities: 

  • Assisting residents with in everyday life.
  • Asssisting residents when eating
  • Accompanying residents for example to work or therapy
  • Assistance with leisure activities, e.g. excursions, etc.
